Starry Boy

Out of the Ashes.

Wed Jan 28, 2009, 10:45 AM
For a long time she stared at him, biting her lip, quietly calculating the words in her mind. This needed to be done. She could feel it in her bones and with every strength she could muster she broke the silence with a quiet whisper
"If a Phoenix can do it, Why can't I?"
The words she delivered were decided and fierce.
And he knew he could say nothing. Hopelessly, he opened his mouth to speak but gawped like a fish out of water.
Before he could try and form words she immediately, without warning, burst into flames.
Bright gold vines, licked her arms and body, consuming her entirely yet ruining her completely.
Her every being fell to the floor in a pile of ash and soot, swirling euphorically in the wind.

He fell, hunched up. Holding his legs he sobbed into his arms. What had just happened? He did not know. He stayed for a long time avoiding the scene before him. Hoping desperately that there was some melancholic truth within her last words. Would she return? He did not know.

Suddenly, he felt a sharp prod on his arm as his sniffed and looked up.

She stared back at him, smiling calmly as ever.
"Dude, Have you been asleep this whole time?"

She seemed renewed, fresh, strong yet indifferent.
He smiled back meekly.

---------------

So, I deleted all my old journal entries as an attempt to start over as such. Although I will be keeping my old work up, at some point I shall upload all my new graphics work which, in comparison, is completely different.
I haven't uploaded stuff in a LONG time but I really need to get an art portfolio together and this is as good a place as ever.
I think the story above is a good metaphor for how different I am now to the person who started this DA.
If anything, I'm doing this to see how I've evolved artistically.

au revoir
